Preliminary Task - Vicky

Our preliminary task was to shoot a small continuity task, where we concentrated on the smoothness of editing and using using shots such as back to back. I have embedded evidence of this below.



What went well -

• A variety of shots were used, for example; back to back, over the shoulder, and medium shot
• The acting was of a reasonable quality
• Transition between most shots was smooth

What could be improved -

• The titles are simplistic and poor - could have explored different options on Final Cut Pro
• Some continuity issues - tables being moved in background
• Some shots need to be shortened to stop actions being repeated

If I were to do this task again, I would have taken the time to plan it better. I hadn't written a script, and only noted a few basic shots. Adding detail would have made the whole process more efficient and in turn would have made the outcome better.
